WHAT WE DO

Photography and video, by two people who work as one

Evan and Natalia Simon are a husband-and-wife photography and video studio based in Avilés, Asturias. We have been photographing and filming since 2000. Two people working together see more of a day than one person can, and that is the whole idea.

Who we are

Two cameras, one way of seeing.

Evan learned his trade in Toronto as a camera operator, editor and colorist on feature films and TV commercials. Today he shoots, edits and colors every photo and film we deliver.

Natalia spent more than fifteen years designing and sewing wedding dresses by hand. That work gave her an eye for fabric, light and the small gestures that make a portrait worth keeping.

We’ve photographed events on three continents, and for the past five years we’ve worked all over Spain for companies, cultural organizations and celebrations. We live in Asturias and travel anywhere in Spain and Europe.

How we work

Our philosophy

Good photos depend less on perfect technique than on being present: in the right place, at the right moment, ready to react.

Two photographers see more than one. While one of us catches the details, the other takes in the whole scene.
