Ideally it takes place between 2 and 8 weeks after the wedding. That way the emotion is still fresh, you can choose the time with the best light and work without rushing. On a beach like Salinas it is worth choosing the day carefully to avoid the crowds. Many couples combine the two options: the manor house for the wedding day and the post-wedding session for the more intimate photos.
