Snoot Studio, based in Gijón, does photography and video for corporate events all over Asturias: conferences, seminars, product launches, openings and official ceremonies. The same studio handles both the photos and the video. That way, whoever is organising the event deals with a single person and doesn't have to coordinate two suppliers who don't know each other.
What a conference shoot covers
At a conference or a seminar, the job is to be in the room while everything happens. The photos cover whoever is speaking at the lectern, the audience listening, the coffee break, the greetings at the entrance and the signs bearing the event's name. When it's over, the organisers have images for the press release, for social media and for the company's archive. The video captures the same things, but in motion: clips of the talks, the noise and the comings and goings of the room, the odd short statement. Afterwards it is edited and put together into a piece that can be watched from start to finish.
Product launches and portraits
A product launch asks for something more. As well as covering the event, the product has to look good: close up, in good light, with its details and in the place where it is being presented. Snoot Studio photographs products, details and settings, and that is exactly what a brand needs on the day it shows something new. It also does professional portraits, of a single person or of a whole team, and photos of offices, workspaces and processes, with people hard at work. Many companies make use of the event day to have those portraits taken that later go up on their website, because it's the only moment when the whole team is in the same place and smartly dressed.

An example from the portfolio
One piece of work from the portfolio serves as an example. The studio photographed the premises of the Marquessa beauty centre on the day it opened. Those images show the newly opened premises, ready to welcome the first clients, with every corner just as the business wanted to show it.
Compared with mobile phone photos
Compared with the photos someone from the company itself takes on their mobile, an events photographer makes the difference in three things. The first is light. Conference rooms and hotel function rooms tend to be dark, and a camera prepared for that avoids blurred photos or photos with strange colours. The second is attention. The person taking the photos has no other task that day, so they don't miss the moment the product is unveiled or an award is presented. The third is editing. The material arrives reviewed, colour-corrected and without the failed shots, and the video arrives edited, not as a pile of loose recordings.

How to book
The first step is to look at Snoot Studio's portfolio, which holds the photography and video work for companies, brands and events in Gijón and the rest of Asturias. Seeing photos of other events helps you decide whether that style fits what you're looking for. Next, write to the studio from the contact page with the basics: what type of event it is, where and when it takes place, how long it lasts and whether you need photography only, video only or both. If there is also a product to show or a team to photograph, it's worth saying so in that first message so the day can be prepared well in advance.
