Palacio de Hevia is a 17th-century palace in the parish of Hevia, in the council of Siero, in central Asturias. It is also known as Palacio de Heredia. It was later refurbished and has a chapel attached. It is a protected ensemble made up of the palace with its two towers, a single-nave chapel and two small buildings set apart from the main building, all around a little square. A setting of stone and history that invites you to dream of a celebration with a difference.
Where it is
Hevia is a parish of Siero, in the La Pola Siero area, in the Nora Valley region of central Asturias. Siero lies between Oviedo and Gijón, so it is an easy place for guests from all over the region to find.
The ensemble
The palace is the heart of the place, with its two towers and the stone of a 17th-century building. Beside it stand the single-nave chapel and two small buildings set apart from the main one, all arranged in harmony around the little square.

The chapel
The chapel is attached to the palace and has a single nave. A corner with plenty of character, the kind you remember.
The little square
The square around the ensemble gives a feeling of seclusion, a small world of its own between stone and Asturian sky. It is part of Siero's Route of the Rural Palaces, a lovely walk through the area's heritage.
Photos and video
For photography and video the palace offers plenty: the façade with its two towers, the single-nave chapel, the two small buildings and the little square in the middle of it all. The stone and proportions of a 17th-century building show beautifully on camera, and late-afternoon light suits them wonderfully.

Before you go
The palace is part of Siero's Route of the Rural Palaces. A lovely idea is to walk around it slowly, at the time of day you would like to celebrate, to see how the light falls.
