The photos on this page are from other weddings of ours (Alicante), not from Llagar de Colloto.
The Llagar de Colloto is a restaurant with a cider-making tradition in Colloto, a village in the municipality of Siero, next to Oviedo. Its grounds, called the Jardines del Llar, are the part of the venue given over to weddings. The Principality's tourist office describes them as a natural space of great value. The venue hosts the reception and also the civil ceremony on the same site. According to its listing on bodas.net, which no other page backs up, the venue reserves the whole day for a single wedding. It has been listed on that portal since 2013, has a rating of 5.0, and 100% of the couples who have left a review recommend it. These are the portal's own figures, and nobody has checked them independently.
Getting there and accessibility
Colloto is in Siero, on the outskirts of Oviedo. The bodas.net listing places the restaurant a few minutes from the city centre, but none of the other pages consulted gives that information. None of those pages gives the postal address, or the distance in kilometres or minutes to Gijón, Avilés or Asturias Airport. Nor do they explain whether there is a bus, taxi or any organised transport for guests. If many of the guests are coming from elsewhere, you can ask the restaurant for the exact address and the easiest way to get there when you contact them. One detail helps anyone using a wheelchair or a pushchair: the bodas.net listing says the venue has access for people with disabilities. The restaurant should be able to explain exactly what that access is like.
The ceremony and the spaces
For the ceremony, the restaurant has a gazebo for civil weddings. A gazebo is a small open structure in the middle of the garden. The listing presents it as an area reserved solely for that purpose. This detail and all those that follow come from the bodas.net listing, and the tourism website does not repeat them. The pages consulted make no mention of a chapel or of religious weddings. If the couple want a church ceremony, they will need to ask how it fits in with the rest of the day. The welcome drinks are served in the Jardines del Llar. As well as the garden, the portal lists a terrace, a marquee, a dance area, a chill-out area for some quiet time and a children's play area. The reception is held in an air-conditioned hall with a maximum capacity of 275 guests. The minimum to book the wedding is 60. The hall has its own toilets, separate from the restaurant's. It also has a bar just for the guests and a cloakroom service. The listing adds that the restaurant decorates the hall and the grounds to suit each couple.

Food, menus and prices
The food is prepared by the restaurant itself. The hall has a separate kitchen that works only for the wedding. Asked whether it uses its own kitchen or outside catering, the bodas.net listing answers “both”, without further explanation. It also says the space cannot be hired without booking the food. On the style of cooking, two sources do agree, the Asturias tourism website and bodas.net: traditional Asturian dishes mixed with international cuisine and new trends, with great care taken over presentation. Everything else comes only from the wedding portal. Menus cost between €97.90 and €124.90 per guest, with an open bar included. Couples can choose set menus or create one from scratch. There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free versions, as well as versions for people with diabetes, high blood pressure or allergies. The restaurant makes the cake, although the couple can bring their own. There is no extra charge for using the space. In high season the minimum rises to 100 diners, and for each one short of that, half the menu price is charged.
Accommodation and parking
For the couple there is a bridal suite, which saves them going to a hotel when the party ends. There is no accommodation for guests. The bodas.net listing says so plainly, with a “no”, and the other pages do not cover the matter. The pages consulted do not recommend any nearby hotel. Guests coming from further away will need to find rooms separately, and the restaurant may know what is available nearby. As for cars, the listing mentions private parking on site but does not say how many spaces there are. Before confirming the date, it is worth asking how many spaces there are and whether there are enough for all the guests who will be driving.
If it rains
It rains often in Asturias, and the hall was designed with that in mind. The bodas.net listing says it is equipped to hold weddings all year round, so the reception is under cover. In the Jardines del Llar there is also a covered area for the welcome drinks. The marquee in the list of spaces could also help, although the portal does not say what it is used for. The pages do not make clear whether the gazebo for the civil ceremony has a roof. Nor do they say where the ceremony moves to if the weather turns bad. That is one of the first things a couple should ask on their visit.

Spots for photographs
The pages consulted do not describe particular spots for photographs. They speak only, in general terms, of gardens “full of special corners”. The tourism website highlights those grounds as a natural setting, and the wedding portal adds the gazebo and the chill-out area. None of them mentions the façade or the views. To get an idea, the bodas.net listing brings together 44 photos, 5 videos and a 360-degree virtual tour. The same portal also publishes the photo story of Kini and Adriana's wedding in Colloto. Evan and Natalia Simon have not photographed any wedding at this venue, so this page has no photographs of their own from there. Anyone who wants to see how it looks in photos has to rely on those sources.
Booking, contact and questions for the visit
The pages consulted do not give a website, phone number or email address for the restaurant. The only means of contact shown is the “Solicitar presupuesto” (Request a quote) button on its bodas.net listing. According to that portal, the date is secured with a first payment of €600 on signing and a second payment of €900 when the menu is finalised. The party ends at 05:00 at the latest. The portal advertises four free-gift promotions and one discount, but does not say what they consist of. On the visit, it is worth asking about the ceremony in case of rain, the parking spaces, nearby hotels and the terms of those promotions. Since the portal lists music, fireworks, magicians and a photo booth among the services, it is also worth asking what the price includes and what costs extra.
