The first photo is of Palacio Marqués de Casa Estrada itself, used with its permission. The others are from other weddings of ours (Alicante, La Nucia).
Palacio Marqués de Casa Estrada is a manor house (palacio) with a chapel in Martimporra, Asturias. It stands in open countryside, within a large estate. According to Vivir Asturias, Martimporra lies in the municipality of Bimenes, in the Comarca de la Sidra (the Cider Region). The same page says the manor house and the chapel are listed as a Bien de Interés Cultural. According to the venue's listing on Bodas.net, it hosts weddings of 60 to 400 guests. You can have a civil ceremony, a drinks reception in the gardens and the wedding breakfast in an indoor hall. The listing also says it only holds one event a day. Looking for a wedding surrounded by old stone and Asturian green, with room for plenty of people? Then it's worth reading on.
Location and getting there
On the pages we consulted, the address appears only as Martimporra, Asturias. There is no street name or number. Vivir Asturias places the manor house in Central Asturias, on a gently sloping hillside within a large estate. There is a gap when it comes to distances: none of the pages we consulted says how many kilometres or minutes it is from Oviedo, Gijón, Avilés or Asturias Airport. The safest thing is to ask the venue. They can give you the exact location for the map on your invitation and the best route for guests coming from each city. As for how guests get there, Bodas.net lists transport among the venue's services. The listing doesn't explain what this involves. It's worth asking whether it means a coach from Oviedo or Gijón, cars for the couple or something else. According to the same listing, the venue has disabled access. If an older guest or a wheelchair user is coming, ask the venue to show you this during your visit.
Spaces: ceremony, drinks and wedding breakfast
Everything in this section comes from the Bodas.net listing, which we haven't been able to check against a website of the venue's own. According to that listing, the manor house has both indoor and outdoor spaces. For the ceremony there is a space for civil ceremonies and a chapel. The chapel's existence is also confirmed by Vivir Asturias, which refers to the «Casa Palacio y Capilla de Martimporra». On Bodas.net, one couple says they held their religious ceremony there. The listing doesn't say how many people the chapel or the civil ceremony space can hold. That is one of the first things worth asking. The welcome drinks take place in the gardens, which the listing describes as surrounded by nature. A terrace, a landscaped area and a marquee are also mentioned. Before the wedding breakfast there is an aperitif with 8 kinds of food and a cider corner. The meal is served in an indoor hall that the listing describes as elegant with a rustic soul, seating up to 250 people. There is also a dance floor. In total, according to Bodas.net, the venue caters for a minimum of 60 guests and a maximum of 400. The pages don't explain where more than 250 people are seated. Ask whether the marquee is used in that case. One of the photos in the listing is titled «Salón en azules», but it doesn't say which room that is.

Menus, catering and prices
According to Bodas.net, the venue has its own kitchen and also works with caterers. The listing says you can hire the space alone, without the venue's food, and that there is a kitchen for the caterers to use. The cooking on offer is market-fresh, traditional, typical regional, international and fusion. Menus can be adapted. There are special menus for vegetarians, vegans, diabetics, people with high blood pressure, people with allergies and coeliacs. The venue serves the wedding cake. You can also bring a cake from elsewhere, as long as the company making it meets food-safety requirements. An open bar is included in the menu. As for price, Bodas.net gives menus from €150 to €250 per guest. According to the same listing, there is no fixed venue fee and no surcharge if you fall short of the minimum number of guests. A deposit of €1,500 secures the booking.
Accommodation, finishing time and parking
According to Bodas.net, there are rural holiday apartments on the estate itself. The listing doesn't say how many there are or how many people they sleep. Nor does it explain whether they are intended for the couple, the guests or both. Ask early, especially if family are coming from outside Asturias and need to stay overnight after the party. The listing says celebrations have a finishing time: 05:00. That also helps you plan who stays and who heads home that night. For parking, Bodas.net includes a car park among the venue's spaces. It doesn't say how many spaces it has or how far it is from the entrance. If your guest list is getting close to 400, it's worth knowing whether all the cars will fit.
Wet-weather plan
In Asturias it can rain on any day. According to Bodas.net, the venue has several covered spaces: the chapel, the indoor hall for the wedding breakfast seating up to 250 people, and a marquee. The terrace is on the list too, but the listing doesn't say whether it is covered. The pages we consulted don't explain the wet-weather plan. They don't say whether the civil ceremony moves to the chapel, the hall or the marquee, or where the drinks reception goes if the gardens can't be used. On your visit, ask them to show you the wet-weather plan in the actual spaces and to tell you how far in advance the decision is made.

History and spots for photos
Evan & Natalia Simon are wedding and corporate event photographers and videographers in Asturias. They have never worked at this manor house, so there are no photos of theirs from the venue here. What follows is drawn from what other pages say. According to Vivir Asturias, the manor house was founded between the 17th century and the next. It was founded by Juan de Valdivares and his wife Cecilia Estrada, and later belonged to the Marquis of Casa Estrada. That page describes a richly decorated façade for a rural manor house of its time, with a triangular pediment and the Estrada coat of arms on the second floor. It also says that the cobbled entrance hall, the armoury and the main hall survive inside. In the presbytery area, beneath the family coat of arms, there is a sarcophagus bearing an inscription: «This is the house of Estrada, founded upon a crag, older than Velasco, and it owes nothing to the King». Bodas.net adds the gardens and the surrounding countryside. Ask which spots you can use for photos.
Contact and questions for your visit
The pages we consulted give no website, phone number or email address for the venue. That doesn't mean it has none. What there is, though, is the Bodas.net listing, through which you can send it a message. According to that listing, the venue has been on Bodas.net since 2023, has a rating of 5.0 and is recommended by 100% of the couples who have left a review. On your visit, ask which dates are free, how many people the chapel holds, what the wet-weather plan is and how many apartments there are. Ask too how many spaces the car park has and what the transport and on-the-day wedding coordination involve.
