The Eurostars Hotel de la Reconquista is a five-star hotel in the centre of Oviedo, Asturias. It occupies an 18th-century building declared a National Monument, with a Baroque façade, grand halls and inner courtyards. Where it is and how to get there

The Reconquista has halls and courtyards for every taste. The Reconquista Hall holds up to 400 people and the Covadonga Hall up to 120, with distinctive décor. The Patio de los Gatos welcomes up to 290 diners, and the Patio de la Reina reaches 800: a beautiful spot for aperitifs and drinks in summer. There is also a terrace, a marquee and a dance floor, and the convention centre adds more than 9,000 m². The party can run until 06:00.

Banquet, menus and prices
The hotel cooks in its own kitchen, mixing Asturian tradition with modern dishes: market-led, traditional, regional and fusion. Its two restaurants serve Asturian and international food. Menus adapt for vegetarians, vegans, diabetics, guests with high blood pressure, allergies and coeliacs, and the hotel also makes the wedding cake. Menus run from €169 to €350 per guest, with no fixed fee for the venue, from 80 guests. For weddings of at least 90 adults there is a promotion that includes a menu tasting for up to six people, a second helping of the fish and meat courses, a cocktail designed by the bar team and a pianist during the drinks reception.
Rooms and parking
There is plenty of room to stay: 142 Baroque-style rooms for the couple and their guests, including 7 Junior Suites, 4 Grand Suites and two Royal Suites. Those two suites measure 80 m² with a separate bedroom, a marble bathroom with a whirlpool bath and balconies onto the Baroque façade. The promotion for weddings of at least 90 adults adds the wedding night in the bridal room with breakfast, special rates for guests at up to four hotels of the chain in Oviedo, five free parking spaces on the wedding day and a 25% discount on parking for the other guests.
If it rains
It rains in Asturias, and the Reconquista is ready: its covered halls mean the banquet never depends on the sky. The courtyards are perfect for the drinks reception in summer, and the marquee gives another covered option so the celebration can carry on in comfort.

Spots for photographs
The hotel is a wonderful backdrop for photographs. The Baroque façade has real character, and the courtyards, the Patio de la Reina and the Patio de los Gatos, are the natural place for drinks-reception photos. The balconies of the Royal Suites look onto that same façade. Outside, San Francisco Park sits right next to the hotel, with Oviedo's old town a few steps away for a newlyweds' stroll.
